Crested Butte Fire Protection District provides emergency and non-emergency services throughout Crested Butte, Mt. Crested Butte, Crested Butte South and unincorporated parts of Gunnison County in the north end of the valley 24 hours a day. These services include: Emergency Medical Services, Fire Suppression, Wildland Fire, HazMat, Swiftwater Rescue, Ice Rescue, Low angle rope rescue, and auto extrication.
Crested Butte Fire Protection District also provides Fire prevention services and education to include plan reviews, company level inspections, community fire extinguisher training.
CBFPD is proud to have progressive medical protocols supported by our Medical Director. CBFPD provides Critical Care Level service and maintains numerous waivered acts approved by the State that allow CBFPD to provide the best possible consistent care to our community.
